Why hire over purchase?
The are numerous advantages to hire your equipment over purchasing it and especially if you are not using it all the time. It saves tying up your capital and the associated interest cost, insurance, ongoing servicing and maintainance, major repairs eg: track gear on excavators, warehousing, transportation and whats more your hire costs are fully tax deductible. Should you add these costs and spread them over the life of the machine you will understand why hiring for when you need it is a sensible option.
Apart from economic viability there are numerous other reasons why hiring is the best option.
You only hire the machine for the days that you require it.
The Hire Company does all the servicing and maintenance.
If the machine breaks down we get another unit to you so downtime is minimised.
You have the latest up to date equipment for your job.
Working with hired equipment simplifies the bidding and billing process. It can be tricky to gauge the true cost of operating and maintaining owned equipment, but the price of a hire is clear going into the deal, and there's just one accountable cost figure: the hire invoice.
If you are not using a machine enough to make it worth buying - it's just a better idea to hire it.
It's that simple!
